DS: The student said, “ I go to school everyday “

IS: The student said that she went to school everyday

DS : “Did you do your homework last night?” Abi wanted to know

IS : Abi wanted to know if / whether I had done my homework

DS : “What do you buy at he bookstore?” Disti asked

IS : Disti asked what I bought at the bookstore

DS : “ Open your book !“ the teacher asked

IS : The teacher asked me / the students to open our book

DS : The teacher said / asked, “ Will you close the door?”

IS : The teacher said / asked if / whether I closed the door

RUMUS

Jika kalimat tersebut adalah:

  1. Statement , memakai that
  2. Question, jawabannya Yes / No dan IF/ Whether
  3. Wh question, maka Wh question
  4. Prohibition ( Larangan ), maka memakai not to + infinitive / V1
  5. Request, memakai if / whether
